Spent the entire morning arguing with Virgin rail.

Try Ebay, or "Marstar" in Canada. Got most of my parts that way.

Excellent Webby

Now how many can I have from you? :happyclap:

Set on the left are the type which are mounted onto actual cardboard, so they look the right colour from the inside as well as out, the set on the right are mounted onto white card for ridgidity, so when you open them up they're not right looking.

I only have 3 sets at the mo, but if people are wanting sets, I was thinking about making them for a tenner a set posted. That should include all of the inner sleaves as well.

today I...

left the infant chewing a bit of Kit Kat whilst I fannied around in the attic (that counts as quality childcare in the Sole household). Returned to find our living room looking like an H-Block dirty protest

I would be interested in at least 3 sets for a start. Let us know when you are ready to accept orders.

Cool mate, I can do them for in time for Freshman if you like? Would you like the ones that are good on the inside aswell as out, or just the ones which look good from the outside?

Fingers crossed it goes ahead as planned! Like me, if you've invested in kit specifically for a game, it's a pisser if it gets binned!

Silverman's is on Mile End Road, but they aren't cheap. For guns, Wolf Armouries are in Camden and some of the shops on Chalk Farm Road near Camden lock used to stock lots of WW2 looking kit. Don't know if they still do. If you are there on Saturday the market has several vintage stalls in the arches which often have WW2 uniform items. Back in the day Lawrence Corner in Euston was the place to go but it closed down.

Edit - The staff at Lawrence Corner have opened a new shop on Kentish Town Rd - http://www.squadronhq.com

Also edited for rubbish info.

Also in the camden area, In the main lock market, in one of the railway arches is a store called Soul-ja, I got some bargins there (british Armey woolens shirts etc) but it is a bit hit and miss.

Croydon, there is an army surplus store in Chruch Street, not much suitable for WW2 last time I was there, but they did have a selection of Cheap 1950's issue british greatcoats last I was in there, but 40 chest was the largest they had.

Ranger in Surbiton, nothing suitable or specific for the WW2 look that I can remeber.

To the tune of "Mademoiselle from Armentières"

Napoleons army ran away, As you do
The guard stood firm for Frances Pride, As you do
They said the guard will stand and die
But we heard what their Colonel cried
It wasn't pretty I tell you.

Fitted the hop lever to my Enfield No 4 project. Then I realised I have lost the part which holds the spring guide in place when the gun is cocked! It must have fallen out of the trigger mech while I was working on it. :slap:

Still, it's in the house somewhere, it will hopefully turn up this weekend.
